Acura RSX: The Beast Within

Since its first debut in 2001, the RSX has had a rather amazing amount of success.  Being named car and drivers “10 best” as just one of many awards received; the Acura RSX is a polished example of Japanese engineering at its very best.  The 2003 Acura RSX of course was the year that really kicked off its popularity as its name began to take hold on the market as an all around great vehicle.  I can still remember the popular Acura RSX wallpaper that was popular for office computer screens that year.  If memory serves me it was a 2003 Acura RSX Redondo Red Pearl, with a desert faded background.

I think much of the RSX’s popularity stems from the fact that it is an affordable sports car that almost anyone can attain. Of course the Acura RSX Type R being among the more elite and expensive, is still however rather affordable if you looks at the grand scheme of the vehicle and the options that are available to you.  But it is the Acura RSX Type S that truly adds an exhilarating edge to the base RSX with an interior layout and boost in the numbers that seem to matter most to RSX drivers; horsepower, horsepower, and more horsepower!

Prior to the 2005 RSX model, the need for Acura RSX body kits, a smooth Acura RSX spoiler (aftermarket), a few Acura RSX performance parts, and of course better headlight projectors will be very much needed to keep up with the cool looks of the 2005+ models.  An Acura RSX with projectors beaming in blue just really set off the older RSX models and give them an aura of newness to the night air on cruise nights.  These needed Acura RSX parts will not be hard to find at the dealer and various aftermarket speed shops around your town.  A few Acura RSX accessories added to the interior may not be such a bad addition to consider as well.

But if you are looking for a grand sports car right out of the box with almost nothing left for you to do to make it any cooler than it already is, a 2006 Acura RSX is probably just the car for your needs.  Coupled with a well-tuned suspension, the small liter engine is a rather welcome surprise as you pull out onto the road with relative ease.  Each gear you hit from the well engineered transmission will have you sailing the streets in no time without missing a single beat per shift.  With an overall aggressive style, stance, class, and style; the RSX really stands out in the crowd of other performance tuned street racers being pushed off the assembly line.  To really stand out in the crowd however, the 2006 Acura RSX Type-S will be your ultimate best bet.

The 2007 Acura RSX is set to hit the showroom floors here in a few months; and from what I hear is basically a lot the same as the 2006 model.  However I have heard a reviewer recently that described driving the new 2007 Acura RSX as a taste of the Chevrolet Camaro mixed with the Mini Cooper, and finished off with a spot of Volkswagen beetle.  With this type of description, you can guarantee that I will be one of the first people in line at the 2007 RSX’s unveiling to see what this tri-vehicle actually feels from the grip of mine own two leather glove dawned hands!
